I was also one of the class action suit that sued and got a very small award from the bankruptcy court from Vitek. I bought a pair of birthstone earrings and an electric piano. My lawyer didn’t take any pay because he was so disgusted and disappointed by the whole thing. — Hello to all my wonderful co-survivors. I feel so fortunate in my journey with the horrible Vitek implants given the tawful effects they have had on our bodies. My heart out to all of you l”and I Tthank you all because I I I have benefited from the learning that has happened through your journeys. My implants went in in 1983 in an attempt to stop unremitting dizziness. The dizziness stopped and has never returned. But as so many of you know the pain began and hasn’t stopped. The implants came out in 1990. Crushed, eroding the bone, doing all the things that Vitek did to our bones, but my surgeons were sure it all was accounted for. After I healed from the surgery all the pain was still there and I have a simple hinge joint. But it opens far enough to get food in, the muscles are strong enough to chew most food. No lateral or forward motion. Botox changed my life on the constant headaches. The rest of it was diagnosed as Fibromyalgia very early and I have been blessed to have very sensitive and useful pain management care. And your stories said to me don’t let them do surgery again. I haven’t. And while my life has felt compromised by my experience I don’t want to try to make it “better “ because I’ve yet to see any scenarios that look like they’ve helped. Lately I’ve tried CBD hemp and once again I’m lucky. I live in Oregon where it’s legal. Thank you to all of you for sharing yourselves. My love and Care to you. Barb

It will work..know one who has one..gets medication through it..his is catheter..works same as this..good luck.. — Please keep my daughter, Holly, in #prayer . She is getting ready for her spinal cord stimulator implant. It's like a #TENS unit that is inserted under then skin and connected to your spine. She is in a lot of constant pain from head to toe. This will only help with the pain in her lower back, but that is the pain that makes it difficult for her to get out of bed.

Amen — Withhold not, His love, there's so much more from God above. To do so is holding back His flood, and defeats the purpose of His Blood. Give and give the love He gives, and show the world He LIVES! By: Preston Pittman. "Give Love"

Beautiful. — Softer Than Air Eight hours now without a break, don't they know that her feet ache. Running late to pick up the kids, their Dad is in jail for selling lids. I love you the words were softer than air, Startled she turns but no one is there. Sneak past the landlord one time again, delaying her rent until the weekend. Need to make dinner but the cupboard is bare, praying to someone that just doesn't care. I love you the words just like before, where are they from they cut to the core. Kissing her two as if it's the last, Says goodnight and turns on the gas. A knock on the door is he after the rent, She is so tired of this life's descent. Reluctant, she peeps through the whole in the door, two strangers that she has not seen before. We're from the church that's just down the street, we brought you some groceries we hoped you will eat. Run back to the kitchen and turn back the knob, fanning the room now beginning to sob. Back to the door now opening it slow, only the groceries guess they had to go. I love you the words were softer than air, Again she looks back but no one is there. Putting up groceries, a weeks worth at least, a note in the bottom signed by the priest. We'd welcome your visit, we're here everyday, And bring the girls we've much they can play. Too tired now to take it all inside, slumps down in a chair where sleep will reside. Up with the dawn, and girls ready for school, and back to the same it all seems so cruel. But later their home again food now at least, and there is that card again signed by the priest. I love you the words again softer than air, familiar now she sends up one last prayer. Bundling the girls she's got to find out, off to the church that seems to call out. Desperate and tired she opens the door, several are praying with knees to the floor. Up walks the ladies that brought them the food, smiles framed with tears such a sweet mood. I talked to my husband about you one says, to lower your rent the landlord he is. So weak and so stirred she bends to her knees, And up walks the priest asking Dear please. Her heart filled with love she cannot contain, I accept Him today with all of my stain. I love you the words softer than air, knowing Him now it was love that was there. By: Preston Pittman

I love to hear daily blessings. I need them. Thank you Brenda — I plan on posting daily blessings. I believe in the power of words. Whether spoken or written, words have the power to bless or curse. “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.” 1 Pet 3:9 Today's Blessing: Song of praise...Be joyful and count your blessings. There are so many things to be thankful for; the gift of being alive, blessings of a new day to hope and dream, the gift of families, the gift of children, the gift of friends, the gift of people who make you laugh and smile, the gift of strangers who show you kindness, the gift of nature, and many more. Thank you for the very thorough explanation why Rain can make Chronic Pain worse. I was actually wondering about this today as the dark clouds once again brought a headache! — I have learned that while we may experience storms, we have to have the rain if we are to ever witness the rainbow. Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet. Learn how to walk in the rain. Use it. Learn how to appreciate life's sometimes storms. Otherwise you'll never be grateful for all of the colors in that rainbow when it appears.

Brenda I cannot tell if I have been excepted into your group, I am very interested in joining as I think it would be very helpful to me. Please could you if you have time would you contact me, I'd appreciate it so much. Jacqueline Nelson — I am a "not so healthy" survivor of the vitek implants. I had these implants implanted in the mid 80's and had them removed in the mid 90's. I was wondering if anybody else suffers from other health problems due to having had these implants and if so could you please elaborate.

May God bless you and keep you. Is there anything I can do personally to help you? — I accidentally published this yesterday and it reached someone on #pain ... didn't realize I had direct publish on. Years later and I am still struggling with trying to get through the pain and fog along with so many others. Getting less idealist and more realistic, but still trusting in the Lord.

Hi Brenda, thank you for reaching out. I think that's awesome that you find similarity in us, for as children of God we are called to be One! One mind, One Spirit!  4-6 You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both outwardly and inwardly. You have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness. Ephesians 4:4-6 The Message (MSG) God Bless you honey! Looking forward to knowing you as well. — Hi Ali, I noticed we have a lot of similarity in our blogging. I even had my blog named "Finding Beauty for Ashes" for awhile.  I look forward to getting to know you. Blessings, Bren

Sometimes it's difficult to write comments on even on great blog posts. In fact, I wrote a blog post about this a while back after having a similar conversation with someone else on this community http://wp.me/p2oF9u-8X  If you're really not sure what to say though you can just say "thanks" or "I liked this" or "wow" if it is a powerful personal story. — It is very difficult for me to write comments. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to easily respond to a post besides + to let them know you read, you like, you are moved? How about...great...loved...praying? A lot of people find it difficult to write comments...especially those who are non-writers. I know that is the case with my friends and family. We have talked about it. It takes a different part of your brain to write comments. Most writers have brains that are fluent in that communication. Even though my brain works better to write blogs, it is very difficult for me to write comments. Sometimes my brain is just blank and sometimes it is just painful to think about what to write in a comments...of course, I have a brain injury. I believe the people who know us are more emotionally involved in our posts and are more concerned with praying and caring than responding to the post. It feels counter intuitive to "like" a heart wrenching story. It feels like you are "liking" the circumstances. Like I said...non writers...do not think like writers...which are usually the people writing comments. So... to my fellow bloggers... keep writing and sharing...believe your friends and family know your heart, care, and are praying. I just joined blogger Monday...can you even tell who has given you a plus one?

Thanks Tim. Yes, I will continue to follow Jesus and will continue to work on dying to my flesh. — I am new to Google + and am trying to find my way around. I recently had to deal with someone I believed was being rude and she thought I was rude. I would appreciate feedback

Nice homepage.  That is their problem not yours. So shake it up and keep on moving. Don't let their problem becomes yours. I got that from my pastor by the way. She should not have jumped to conclusions as to what your intentions were, but on the other hand maybe she was just having a bad day.  Who knows, but don't take it to heart.  Continue your walk with the Lord.  God Bless you and her. — I am new to Google + and am trying to find my way around.
