- hello, I am in a huge battle with my insurance company to do the right thing as My Proplast surgeries were deleted out of my surgical reports back in the year of 1991 and 1998. During this time, my main surgeon who operated on me suddenly became sick when dictating That I needed Total Joint replacement surgery. All of a sudden, This Oral surgeon wrote a letter to all of his patients, stating this to me in a letter of his supposed retirement in June of 1998. As a result of this doctor's letter promising continuity of care for all of his patients, I did not get this surgery performed until many years later ..( 2006 !),...After The Surgeons' office discontinued my care with their offices,.. effective November of 1998.Sep 2, 2014
- I have had to prove that I am not receiving the continuity of medical necessity care that was promised to me. I have submitted this updated info to the medical appeals unit with my insurance company. They are attempting to keep me here to continue my care with all of these doctors who failed to continue my care. I won an appeal to go out of state 2 years ago to see Dr. Peter Quinn,.. a Top Oral Surgeon who knows all about the Proplast and He dictated this in a letter for me to keep as evidence in my medical files. Yet, here in this state where I reside, none of these docs will step up and help to negotiate with my insurance company explaining that I am not cosmetic dental versus medical necessity. I guess these docs are mad because I set out to prove that they did Implant me with the Proplast and then Explanted it years later. I managed to salvage/ A simple One page documentation of this statement and they are ALL scared. I simply refuse to chase that merry go round once again, as they made me jump from doc to doc for close to 23 years. All of these docs are affiliates of the Main Oral Surgeons office that I was discharged from officially, so this covers the entire state of Tennessee. IN fact, The insurance company evidently agreed with me 2 years ago, that I was not receiving my continuity of care here and that I had exhausted all of my medical resources here. Finally, I feel that it is now Time to travel back out of state as I was approved to travel once before, as I have stated in my present, pending, active medical appeal.Sep 2, 2014
- Yes, all they can preach to me is, that I have No Merit to my medical case..! This was their Main excuse not to represent me... What a laugh..! .
In fact, To show their discrimination, Recently, I just proved them wrong and represented myself & won my legal medical appeal All on my own. As a Result of all of my hard work, persistence and extreme dedication, I have finally been granted out of state medical care by another Oral surgeon who knows all about my Proplast history, especially how Proplast Permanent damage, has affected my long term health..Mar 17, 2015
