I'm a survivor. Just a brief history....I as most of you could write a book.
I was promised by Dr Kent himself (also in front of my doc and my psychologist)that if I let him put in his Implants I would never be in pain nor would I ever need any further surgery. The truth is I have never had a day without pain and have had 45 surgeries. In 1981 Kent put in an Implant of his called "Syncar." No information is available because the results were so bad he only put them in 3 patients. Even with the Freedom of Information Act I am unable to get any info about. They admit they have it but refuse to give it to me. After my next surgery I tried to get a copy of my hospital records but the Director of Medical Records informed me that my chart (2 months of records) had been cleaned out and no pertinent information left but she sent me what was there.Those implants had to be removed <3 monts after implanted. Several months later he put his "Vitek II" (so he "thinks, I'm not sure"). I progressively became more ill as years went by but Kent insisted over and over again that "it is all in your head."

Finally in 1987 my doctor here at home attended a conference where several docs were talking about their patients with same problems as myself. One doctor had found about the implants problems and that Kent knew. My doctor came home and immediately did surgery to remove the implants. But it was too late. They were already gone and the fragments unable to be seen with the visible eye. The giant cell has been active in me ever since. It's been one nightmare after another.
What has happened to us IS considered the biggest medical cover-up in this country. I don't care if I never get anything monetary. I want to see "justice" but there is " just us." This not only involves one or two people but the medical Associations of oral surgeons and the government is involved. If it happened once it can happen again and i don't want one other person to go through what we have and are going through with no medical help. I believe the media is he only way. We had them years ago but it was "swept under the rug." Those responsible put pressure on the media and edited articles. I was interviewed by USNEWS AND WORLD REPORT in 2002. The reporter spent 2 1/2 days with me for an 8 page cover story. It ended up being 2pages in the back. They were told what not to incude.

I'm too tired and sick to fight any longer. I can't even finish writing my story.

I just found your message, only took me a year to check back...
I do remember you!! After all this time...
It is great to talk with you again.
Since I wrote, things have become worse. Some is believed to be still, even now after almost 40 years the giant cell eating away at me from the inside out.
