I have just joined, and would like to hear from anyone who has had total body muscle spasms and/or burning pain after having Vitek implants put in. Any details about what helped these symptoms would also be great, thanks.

- Brenda DawsonOwnerHi Jani, Thank you for sharing. It has been my hope to let other sufferers know they are not alone. Yes, I do have total body muscle spasms and burning pain. My hands are weak and tingle, but the worse if my feet which are cold, but feel on fire. After over thirty years I have tried many treatments to no avail.
The only thing that seems to help is rest and heat. The gabapentin helps with the shooting nerve pain and the muscle relaxers help with the spasms. My brain hasn't been very clear and my head is pounding so I haven't been writing.
Thank you for your encouraging words on my blog. For some reason the comments have disappeared. Please continue to share.
Jul 20, 2013 - Jani KiddBrenda, thanks for your reply! I am not very computer literate, so I followed instructions to put you in a "circle", though I don't really know what that is. Toni, if you are in this circle thing and want to send me a -- "add me"?-- invitation, I will do the same. It's so odd after 30 years to be in touch with someone who understands, but in a VERY GOOD way. ;-) -- Jani KiddJul 20, 2013
- Kahla GerardUntil they removed the bulk of the vitek implant - most of it had dissolved into my system - it felt like acid was boiling under my skin. There was a drop in pain after this surgery. The most helpful thing after this was doxycline, which my immunologist put me on. Evidently it turns off the giant cell reaction in some patients. Worth a try.
